Nora didn’t have school Veterans Day. I was looking for something to do with her on a cold and rainy day and remembered that she said that she wanted to go bowling. So I took her to a bowling alley in Elmwood Park.

I had only planned to bowl two games but she was having such a good time we bowled a third. Her score got better with each game. She even had a strike. It was the first time I’ve been bowling in 25 years at least. My score got worse with each game. The bumpers they put up to keep the ball out of the gutters helped me almost as much as Nora.

Nora’s only four so I know she wasn’t being a smartass, but…

The other day she told me that they had made beads in preschool. They had baked them in the oven and still needed to paint them and string them. I said that it sounded like fun and mentioned that I had never made beads in school.

Nora looked at me and asked me if they even had beads when I was in school.

She’s not only a dancer, she’s a storyteller.

Literature

Here’s a video of Nora from the talent show put on by the after school program she was in while she was in kindergarten. It was broadcast on the local access cable channel.

Land Of 1000 Dances

Something Bad happened to Nora’s Blog. It was apparently hijacked by somebody in New Zealand. I had to delete everything and start again from scratch. I’ll try to get the old stuff back up and some new stuff too.
